PENRO-LGU conducted a Site Assessment and Validation on the proposed area for the establishment of Clustered Sanitary Landfill of Cluster 3 namely: Municipalities of Barobo, Lianga and San Agustin-as host LGU last October 20-21, 2022 located at Km.5, Brgy. Buatong, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur together with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB-CARAGA) staff using drone. 

This was eventually their 3rd proposed area which might be feasible for the construction of Clustered Sanitary Landfill since their first and second attempt were not viable.
