Information Education Campaign (IEC) about African Swine Fever (ASF) and Bird Flu
The Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur through the leadership of Gov. Alexander T. Pimentel, together with the Provincial Veterinary Office which was represented by Dr. Diosdado D. Derigay, Jr. as the Technical Resource Speaker, spearheaded the Information Dessimination on African Swine Fever (ASF) and Bird Flu last Nov 18, 21, 23 and 25, 2022 to different barangays of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur. The said IEC was initiated by Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) - San Miguel Campus.
Many of the San Miguelnon farmers attended the said affair and were enlightened about the mentioned diseases.
The 4-day information education campaign aims to help our livestock and poultry farmers with the proper approach should they encounter such diseases and also to promote awareness about the livestock and poultry situation within the province.
