The Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur headed by Provincial Governor, Hon. Johnny T. Pimentel, thru the merging efforts of the Office of the Provincial Assessor of Surigao del Sur and Office of the Municipal Assessor of Cagwait, headed by Engr. Rainel Adaya, REA, conducted a ground verification and validation earlier of submitted Land Value Maps and Vicinity Details based on the proposed 2027 Schedule of Market Values for Urban Lands of the Municipality of Cortes under the mandate of RA 12001 otherwise known as Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act of 2024 (RPVARA). 

This activity is to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the 2027 proposed Schedule of Market Values as well as identifying the sub-market areas and subclassifications on the basis of the Vicinity Details as visualized on the Land Value Maps and to conform with the principle of uniform classification in valuing real properties.
