In a collaborative effort to ensure sustainable waste management practices in connection to RA 9003, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office - Local Government Unit (PENRO-LGU), led by Ms. Xiara M. Lincuna, Environment Management Services Chief Designate, For. Maria Estela A. Baguio, and For. Norberto R. Ramirez II, in partnership with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Caraga, conducted a comprehensive validation and assessment of the proposed site for the construction of a sanitary landfill. The site, intended to serve Cluster 1 municipalities (Carmen, Cantilan, Madrid, and Lanuza), is located at KM. 6, Brgy. Bocawe, Lanuza, Surigao del Sur.
