Workshop for Business Permit Licensing Officers on the Cost of Doing Business
The Office of the Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Unit, in collaboration with the BPLO - Tandag City, led by Mr. Gorgonio A. Azarcon, conducted a two-day Capability Building Workshop for Business Permit Licensing Officers on the Cost of Doing Business on August 28-29, 2025, at Shacene Pension House, Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur. The workshop is expertly facilitated by CEDIP Officer - Designate, Mark Anthony O. Prado and Licensing Officer - I, Felix II V. Amora.
This workshop aims to equip Business Permit Licensing Officers with the knowledge, tools, and best practices necessary to streamline business permitting processes and reduce the administrative burden on entrepreneurs. By enhancing their understanding of how licensing procedures impact the overall cost of doing business, the workshop seeks to promote efficiency, transparency, and consistency in local government operations.
Ultimately, the goal is to foster a more business-friendly environment that supports economic growth, encourages investment, and improves ease of doing business in the province of Surigao del Sur.
