Capacity Building on the 4 Legacies for Children and Formulation Workshop on the Local Development and Investment Plan for Children
From September 3–5, 2025, the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur spearheaded a Capacity Building on the 4 Legacies for Children and a Formulation Workshop on the Local Development and Investment Plan for Children (LDIP-C). The activity gathered the active participation of members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC).
The workshop was made possible with the strong support of Governor Johnny T. Pimentel, Chairperson of both the LCPC and LCAT-VAWC, affirming the provincial government’s commitment to advance child protection and welfare programs in Surigao del Sur.
Miss Krysta Ryedel P. Antoni-De Jose, Regional Coordinator of the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) Caraga, served as the Resource Person, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure that the formulation of the LDIP-C is responsive to the needs of children in the province.
Also in attendance was Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Margarita G. Garay, Committee Chairperson on Women, Children, and Family Welfare, who expressed her full support to strengthening policies and interventions for children and families.
