As part of the 13th Sangkaan Festival, the City Government of Tandag reached out to some of its most remote and vulnerable communities through a Gift Giving Activity held on last September 7, 2025.

Beneficiaries included the members of the Badjao Community, who are among the sectors in greatest need of assisstance where The Provincial Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (PFARO) distributed fishing paraphernalias (Hook and Line, SpearFishing Gun) to 18 Badjao fisherfolks.

The activity was spearheaded by the City Mayor Roxanne C. Pimentel and Vice Mayor Eleonor D. Momo, with the support of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and Legislative Department.

Far beyond the festive colors  and merrymaking, the outreach emphasized the essence of Sangkaan Festival-a celebration rooted in care, inclusivity and unity. By extending compassion and support to all Tandaganons, the city government reaffirmed its commitment to leave no community behind.
