The Provincial Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Office (PFARO) successfully presided over the Executive Meeting of the Provincial Coastal Law Enforcement Coordinating Council (PCCLEC) held at Shacene Pension House and Restaurant, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur

The meeting gathered key members of the PCLECC Executive Committee, including representatives from the PFARO, Philippine National Police- Surigao del Sur Provincial Police Office (PNP-SDSPPO), PNP Maritime Group, Philippine Coast Guard, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Lianga, and the Coastal Communities Alliance for a Unified and Sustainable Environment (CCAUSE). 

During the meeting, the body discussed updates on the ongoing activities and initiatives of PCLECC, as well as preparations for the upcoming PCLECC Stakeholders Meeting. Members also collaborated in drafting the proposed agenda for the said event, ensuring that it reflects the priorities and goals of the council in addresing coastal and marine resource issues.

PFARO emphasized that the meeting demonstrates the council's continued dedication to strengthening coastal law enforcement, enhancing inter-agency coordination, and promoting sustainable management of marine resources in the province .

The PCLECC serves as a vital platform for various agencies to harmonize their efforts in protecting coastal and marine ecosystems, preventing illegal fishing activities, and supporting community-based conservation initiatives throughout Surigao del Sur.
