Awarding Ceremony and Harvest Festival of Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) 2025
The Province of Surigao del Sur, through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), successfully concluded the Awarding Ceremony and Harvest Festival of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) 2025 on October 23, 2025, held at Tambis Central Elementary School, Tambis, Barobo, Surigao del Sur.
This celebration marked the culmination of months of hard work by participating schools across the province as part of the GP-AYEK Program, which promotes school-based food production and nutrition enhancement.
From October 7–15, 2025, OPAg evaluators—Ms. Clarissa Bagnol (Techno-Demo Coordinator), Ms. Sheilyne E. Paderes (Report Officer), and Mr. Darwin Patriarca (HVCDP Provincial Coordinator)—conducted the final evaluation for all participating schools under the Bislig Division, Tandag City Division, and Surigao del Sur Division. Their assessment followed the earlier pre-evaluation performed by division evaluators.
After thorough evaluation, outstanding schools were recognized at both the division and provincial levels.
For the provincial category, Tambis Central Elementary School of Barobo emerged as the First Place Winner, while San Vicente Elementary School of Bislig City secured Second Place.

The event highlighted not only the commitment of schools to promoting vegetable production but also the program’s broader goal of addressing malnutrition, fostering sustainability, and cultivating an appreciation for agriculture among young learners.
The 2025 GPP Awarding and Harvest Festival stands as a testament to the dedication of educators, students, and partners who continue to cultivate a healthier and more food-secure future for Surigao del Sur.
