The spirit of collaboration and commitment to agricultural development filled the OPAg Training Hall as key national and local agencies gathered for the DA–LGU Management Committee Meeting and Year-End Party Celebration last December 2, 2025.

Representatives from the following agencies actively participated: DA–RFO 13, ATI–Regional Training Center 13, Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), National Food Authority (NFA), Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Provincial Fisheries Office (BFAR–PFO), Provincial Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Office (PFARO), Provincial Veterinary Office (PVET)& Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG). 

The meeting focused on updates, issues, and priority concerns from national and local government agencies, that play vital roles in advancing the agriculture and fisheries sector of Surigao del Sur. The discussions strengthened inter-agency coordination and mapped out strategic actions for 2026, ensuring that programs remain responsive to farmers' and fisherfolk's needs.

The productive meeting was followed by a warm and joyful Year-End Party Celebration, giving participants the opportunity to appreciate milestones, recognize partnerships, and celebrate collective achievements throughout the year.

As the year comes to a close, the gathering reflected a shared commitment to continue building a stronger, more resilient, and progressive agriculture sector for the province and the region.
