Building Stronger RBOs Through Collaboration and Shared Commitment
In a continued effort to strengthen grassroots agricultural programs, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist through Institutional Development Division (IDD) spearheaded the 1st Quarter RBO Stakeholders Consultative Meeting on February 27, 2026, at the OPAg Training Hall in Tandag City to strengthen coordination among Rural Based Organization (RBO) coordinators, Provincial RBO officers, and partner agencies/provincial offices in preparation for the upcoming Farm Family Forum and other agricultural initiatives.
The meeting aimed to present and discuss planned activities and contests, review the status and revitalization strategies for P4MP, Rural Improvement Clubs and 4-H Clubs, provide updates on the RBO Registry System, and define the roles and action points of stakeholders to ensure sustained program implementation.
Key partner agencies & provincial offices such as the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (DA-APCO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Provincial Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Office (PFARO), Provincial Veterinary Office (PVET), and Provincial Agricultural Development and Management Office – Information Technology Unit (PADMO-ITU) participated to provide support and present their program and services.
Engaging partner agencies will help identify potential areas for collaboration and support, ensuring that the proposed activities align with existing initiatives and prevent duplication of efforts. Early coordination will also allow agencies and officers to assess how their respective programs and organizational structures can effectively contribute to the successful implementation of the planned activities.
The activity is done to reinforce collaboration among agencies, improve the functionality of RBOs, strengthen data management systems, and promote sustainable, well-coordinated agricultural development initiatives across the province.
