New Leadership Begins: ATOP National Board for 2026–2028 Takes Oath
MANILA, Philippines — March 11, 2026, the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) National Board for 2026–2028 held its formal Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Department of Tourism (DOT), marking the official assumption of office of the organization’s newly elected leaders. The ceremony was administered by Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, highlighting the strong partnership between ATOP and the national government in advancing tourism development across the country.
Among those inducted was Ms. Mary Vil C. Chan, Provincial Tourism Officer of Surigao del Sur and ATOP Vice President for Mindanao, who attended the ceremony as part of the newly elected ATOP National Board for 2026–2028. Her participation underscores Surigao del Sur’s active role in the national tourism network and its continued commitment to promoting and strengthening tourism initiatives across the region.
During the ceremony, the newly sworn board members pledged their commitment to fostering stronger collaboration among tourism officers from various provinces, cities, and municipalities. With the guidance of the Department of Tourism and the leadership of the new ATOP National Board, the organization looks forward to advancing sustainable tourism programs and initiatives that will further support the growth and development of the Philippine tourism industry.
