The 1st CY 2026 Provincial Development Full Council (PDC) Meeting convened key leaders, stakeholders, and development partners to discuss priority programs, policies, and initiatives for the Province of Surigao del Sur. The meeting served as a vital platform to align efforts, review previous resolutions, and strengthen collaborative governance for the province’s continuous growth.



The meeting was led by Acting Provincial Governor Manuel O. Alameda Sr., serving as the PDC Chairperson, who steered the council in harmonizing development initiatives and reinforcing collaborative governance.



Highlighted during the session were discussions on agricultural support programs, fuel and rice subsidies, infrastructure projects, renewable energy initiatives, and other development concerns requiring approval and endorsement. These agenda items reflect the province’s commitment to addressing the needs of its communities while promoting sustainable and inclusive development.



Through active participation and shared commitment, the council reaffirmed its role in shaping responsive and forward-looking strategies that will benefit the people of Surigao del Sur and ensure long-term progress for the province.
