To further strengthen the implementation of programs for Rural Improvement Clubs (RICs) across Surigao del Sur, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) convened the Provincial Rural Improvement Club (PRIC) 2nd Quarter Meeting on June 30, 2026, at the OPAg Training Hall, Paradise Heights, Telaje, Tandag City. The activity brought together City and Municipal RIC Coordinators, Provincial RIC Officers, and OPAg personnel to discuss updates, address concerns, and plan activities that will benefit RIC members and their communities.

The meeting focused on reviewing the accomplishments of PRIC and RICs during the second quarter, providing updates on ongoing programs, and identifying strategies to further improve program implementation. Participants also discussed the status of the Rural-Based Organization (RBO) Orientation and Revitalization Program, the inclusion of RICs in the Provincial Agriculture and Fishery Council (PAFC), preparations for the upcoming RIC National Convention, and priority activities for the succeeding quarters.

Through open discussions and collaborative planning, participants shared ideas, addressed organizational concerns, and agreed on action plans that will strengthen coordination among RICs throughout the province. These efforts aim to ensure that Rural Improvement Clubs continue to serve as active partners in empowering rural women, supporting community development, and promoting sustainable agricultural initiatives in Surigao del Sur.
