The Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur through the leadership of Governor Alexander T. Pimentel, attended the Alternative Livelihood/Community Savings Groups Summit on October 18-20, 2022 at Lakans Place, Tagum City as being one of the partners of ProACT. The summit were participated by municipalities of Carmen, Lanuza, Cortes and Lianga, which aims to showcase the various best practices in alternative livelihood/community resilient programs.

The support towards various People's Organization of the province ensures the following: Strengthen Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Climate Change Adaptation capacities; and promote resilient livelihoods to ensure food security while fostering sustainable production systems.
