On November 10, 2022, at the Poblacion Gymnasium in San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, Mrs. Hershe Lorenzana-Nuñez, RSW, PSWDO, attended the Local Government Unit of San Miguel's observance of Children's Month with the theme ‘’Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan’’.

Parents, staff of LGU San Miguel, and other stakeholders present at the event heard Mrs. Nuñez's motivational speech. Children's activities included a number of games, the inauguration of petite king and queen, and a royal march and dance.

The Honorable Mayor Michael T. Corilla, ably represented by the Honorable Vice-Mayor Reynaldo F. Demoto challenged and inspired the attendees, saying that everyone should be concerned about the wellbeing of the kids. Additionally, Mrs. Nuñez helped crown the Petite King and Queen. Members of the Sagguniang Bayan, child development specialists, MSWDO employees, parents, and kids from various Barangays in San Miguel participated in the activity.
