Emergency Caesarian Section Operation

A pregnant dog which was in a prolonged labor was brought to the Provincial Veterinary Office. The dog has been in labor for twenty-four (24) hours and yet no puppies came out. Upon examination by our vet doctors namely Dr. Margarito G. La Torre and Dr. Coneda T. Galela, the dog was suffering from Dysctocia - slow or difficulty while in labor or birth.
A ceasarian section surgical operation was immediately performed on the dog by another vet doctor, Dr. Diosdado D. Derigay, Jr. The operation was a successful one and the dog which was now a mother, gave birth to two (2) healthy puppies.
