The Provincial Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Office under the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur officially started the work immersion yesterday, March 22, 2023, intended for senior high school students who were given permission by their school to undergo an on-the-job training under the said department. The students will undertake trainings in acquiring technologies when it comes to aquaculture and also gain knowledge that may help them either to push through fishery course or venture into small business. This program of Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur - PFARO is made possible with its partnership with the Department of Education.

The lucky school and senior high students who got the first slot for the 10-day work immersion came from the Barcelona National High School of Barangay Barcelona from the Municipality of Lingig, Surigao del Sur.
