Two karst islands that once served as hiding places of locals from pirates' raids during the Spanish Occupation in the 1700s. Strategically located within the vicinity of the Fuerza de San Jose de Real de Tandag (Tandag Port) where Spanish galleon sailed in and out. Linungao is witness to the rise and fall of Tandag. It is believed to have existed two million years ago, these twin islands do not serve as natural protector of Tandag from strong typhoons and tsunamis but they are also silent witnesses of the atrocities in the ancient times.
